Every 2 weeks or so we’re reviewing books that we found interesting. These books may range from nonfiction to fantasy to informative to escapism. Our hope is that we find something for everyone, and to broaden awareness, access, and information pertaining to sex, sexual health, pleasure, and beyond!
The “Cinnamon Bun Bookstore” is the sequel to our last book review, “The Pumpkin Spice Café”. Although it isn’t a challenging read, this book served a different purpose for me: it allowed me to bridge the gap from summer beach reads to cozy fall reads.
The story follows Hazel, a shy bookseller, who finds a secret message hidden in a book. She works with Noah, an outgoing fisherman, and they spend the summer completing a scavenger hunt around the fictional town of Dream Harbour. This book is a bit spicier than the first book in its series, so make sure to keep that in mind. If you prefer a book with a stronger plot line and less smut, maybe this one isn’t for you.
The being said, if you’re looking for another cozy, simple, and spicy read, give “The Cinnamon Bun Bakery” a try- and don’t forget to let us know what you think!
