Contraceptive Access Fund

We know that the cost of effective contraception remains a significant barrier to many people, including, but not limited to, teens, newcomers, and Indigenous women (inclusive of individuals who are not women and at risk of becoming pregnant).

With support from generous donations and funding proposals, we have been able to develop The Options Compassionate Contraceptive Fund. This provincial fund, held by Options for Sexual Health, supports contraceptive access for people who could not otherwise afford it. This fund complements any locally raised compassionate contraceptive funds dedicated to individual Options for Sexual Health Clinics.

Selected contraceptives can be obtained at reduced or no cost for patients whose financial situation is a barrier to obtaining contraceptives. The fund is accessed on a case-by-case basis, by clinicians in Options Clinics, while funds last.

This program could not be made possible without the generous donations of individuals and organizations who support reproductive choice. Thank you!
