GETTING TO THE CLINIC

The Vancouver Options for Sexual Health Clinic is located inside the Women’s Health Centre Building at B.C. Women’s Hospital. It can be challenging to find us; please give yourself plenty of time to get to your appointment! The hospital itself only has one address, 4500 Oak Street, and putting this into any GPS or map app will only lead you to the main hospital entrance. Our clinic is located on the opposite side of the hospital from the main entrance – we are at Entrance 77 in the Women’s Health Centre Building. Due to current COVID protocols, all hospital entrances apart from the two ER departments will lock at 4 p.m. to control foot traffic. Please follow the instructions below based on your mode of transit (walking, biking, transit, or car) to make your commute to us as stress-free as possible!

If you are walking, biking, or taking transit to the clinic:
We recommend using the Heather Street and 29th Avenue parking lot entrance – it’s a small paved path specific to pedestrians and cyclists. Walk straight down the driveway, and straight ahead you will see an overhanging archway with a large sign on it that reads ‘Women’s Health Centre’. The entrance to the Women’s Health Centre Building is marked 77. There are dedicated bike lock ups in front of the hospital. When you arrive outside the Entrance 77 doors, you should see a sandwich board posted out front with our clinic phone number. Call this number (604-875-3299) to complete your outdoor COVID screen, and one of our staff will come to retrieve you.

If you are driving: You can enter the hospital’s parking lot via Oak Street or Willow Street. See below:

Entering by the Oak Street entrance: Enter the parking lot off of Oak Street and turn right. Follow the parking lot road all the way until you come to a 4-way stop with the Willow Street exit. Go straight at this intersection, and continue along the parking lot road as it curves. You will pass Ronald McDonald House on your right-hand side, and then the Healthy Minds Centre on your left. You will finally come to a 4-way stop intersection: turn left and you should see an overhanging archway with a large sign on it that reads ‘Women’s Health Centre’. This is our dedicated parking lot, you can park there for free during the pandemic. Our Entrance is 77, and the doors will be locked. When you arrive outside the Entrance 77 doors, you should see a sandwich board posted out front with our clinic phone number. Call this number (604-875-3299) to complete your outdoor COVID screen, and one of our staff will come to retrieve you.
