A Human Sexuality training program for adults and professionals that includes a Sexual Attitudes Reassessment (SAR) component. OPT is the first organization to offer a SAR in BC!

AUDIENCE: Adults and professionals who teach and/or talk about sexuality with clients, students, and youth. 

GOAL: To provide adults and professionals with an opportunity tobuild awareness, comfort, confidence, and competence by exploring theirvalues and gaining the knowledge required to talk about sexuality in anunbiased, non-judgmental, knowledgeable, and inclusive manner.Teaching techniques and resources will be provided in each program.

CAVE 101: Setting the Stage

½ DAY – 3 HOURS COST: $95/PARTICIPANT
  • Topics include: Creating a safe space; enhancing comfort with the vocabulary surrounding sexuality.
  • Activities: Attitudes/values clarification.
  • Outcomes: Participants will feel better prepared to teach or talk about sexuality.

CAVE 201: Building Comfort and Confidence

FULL DAY – 8 HOURS COST: $225/PARTICIPANT
  • Topics include: Gender, identity, stereotypes, respecting diversity, sexual decision making; circles of sexuality; exploration of values and attitudes.
  • Activities: How to respond to questions about sexuality.
  • Outcomes: Participants will feel better prepared to facilitate discussions about sexuality that include gender, sexual identity, and decision making.
