YouthCO's Forum Theatre Troupe uses a form of August Boal's Theatre of the Oppressed.  Often dubbed "a dress rehearsal for life" this dynamic form of interactive thetre is a fun, accessible way to create solutions for the daily challenges we face in our communities. This performance will use games, dialogue, and itneractive theatre to create a safe space for powerful learning and sharing to take place.

Partners, friends & allies encouraged to donate clothing - welcome to stay & offer fashion advice as trans folks switch & swap

Donations: Please bring your clean clothing to venue at 1pm in time for sorting. Anyone wishing to donate to the clothing swap but unable to attend can contact transclothingswap@gmail.com

This year, OPT's Board of Directors has decided to streamline the AGM and Awards ceremony into a single day affair which will be held in Vancouver at VanDusen Botanical Gardens on Saturday, September 27^th, 2008.

In conjunction with the BC Cancer Agency's Pap Week (May 5th - 9th), Options for Sexual Health is offering a full-day walk-in Pap clinic on Wednesday, May 7th.

The Centre in partnership with Vancity invites you to its 4th Annual Awareness Breakfast to observe National Day Against Homophobia, May 17th. The overarching theme for the Day this year is ‘healthcare'. The event features a buffet-style breakfast, speakers, information tables, and opportunities to connect with each other.

Tickets are $20 ($7.50 students/seniors/underemployed) and available at Little Sisters Bookstore, 1238 Davie Street,

Nettie Wild's Bevel Up explores a key question facing healthcare providers across this country "How can a nurse or outreach worker deliver effective and compassionate health care to people who use drugs?" More info & tickets

Joy Johnson will open the evening with a discussion of the advances in women's health research in Canada. Judy Norsigian will talk about the global reach of the now classic book on women's health Our Bodies, Ourselves.
